A multi-generation flooring love affair.

Ingrained.

Over two generations, the passion for flooring is ingrained in our DNA. It represents our patriarch, a flooring legend, George Daniel Murphy Jr.

“Dan the Floor Man” owned a Prince George’s County based flooring company, Daniel’s Floorcovering Services, for the better part of four decades. He set himself apart from his field in the quality of his work, his excellence in the installation of his work, his unparalleled work ethic and reputation for absolute honesty and integrity. No job was ever too big, no job was ever too small, no job was ever too complex. He found the solution and executed, no matter what.

He provided jobs. He volunteered his time to the community. He sponsored and coached local sports teams. He raised children and supported his wife.

While Dan taught his son a trade, he also emphasized patience and attention to detail, to plan, to coordinate; that your work and your name matter most, and to treat every project as if it were your own home or business.

While Dan has passed on, his legacy will continue onwards as our passion for flooring excellence continues through the generations.

Flooring excellence - it’s Ingrained in our DNA.

Unlike the typical flooring experience, we do not subcontract. Our work is our own. The person you meet on the initial consultation or measurement will be the same person delivering materials, demoing a space, and installing materials. We believe in absolute accountability; your home or business is our business, and we treat it as such. Not to go to the lowest bidder.
